Amfax took part in the North Dorset Careers Event on Wednesday, 6th March 2024! We were alongside other employers, education institutions, and training providers.

The team here at Amfax returned buzzing with excitement! Here are a few key highlights:

• 600 Students: The North Dorset Careers Event welcomed over 600 bright and enthusiastic students throughout the day.
• One of the Busiest Stands: Amfax proudly hosted one of the busiest stands among 40 other exhibitors.
• Over 200 Engagements: Our team estimated that over 200 students engaged with our stand, showing keen interest in our work and our company.
• Putting Blandford on the Map: Many students were surprised to learn that we are based right here in Blandford, showcasing the opportunities available locally.
• Impressive Organization: Our team was thoroughly impressed with the organization of the North Dorset Careers Event, making it a seamless and enjoyable experience for all.
• Sparking Interest in Engineering and Manufacturing Careers: We had the chance to inspire and educate students about the exciting prospects in engineering and manufacturing careers.

​Samantha Stocker told the Blackmore Vale Magazine that the firm is keen to engage with young people: "​In the UK we have a skill shortage in engineering and science. Fairs like this really help to open up opportunities and broaden the horizons of a new generation. And hopefully that carries forward, and will in turn help the company and the community. For me personally, it’s also about trying to get girls interested in the STEM subjects, it’s something I’m deeply passionate about."

On July 16th, from 10:30am to 3pm, we’re opening our doors; the UK’s world-class test engineering solutions partner is recruiting the best talent to join our growing and enthusiastic team, and it could very well be you. Amfax will be exhibiting at the ElectroTestExpo on 26th March 2019 at Keele Hall on the Keele University campus. The event is the UK's only dedicated board test, inspection, device programming and debug event for electronics professionals and is organised by the test equipment industry for the benefit of UK business. 

Despite the recent heavy snow and rain, the project delivery teams at Amfax have been hard at work delivering a large end of line tester to a major UK manufacturer. The system had to be assembled and tested within Amfax's manufacturing facility and carefully loaded and delivered to the customer via an articulated truck. Dieter, one of the project managers involved with the project commented "Due to the recent weather we were slightly concerned about the logistics of getting the test rig to the customer site. However as usual, the Amfax project team worked closely together to ensure the rig was delivered safely to the customer without any hiccups. Final commissioning is due to start straight away on site" 

The ElectroTestExpo show held this week at Towcester racecourse proved to be a successful day with a range of interest shown from many industry representatives. Thank you to all that attended and to the venue for the excellent service and fine cuisine provided..

The Amfax a3Di PCBA metrology based inspection machine proved to be a big hit with customers visiting the Amfax stand at the recent Southern Manufacturing show held in the new conference centre venue in Farnborough.

Dieter Swindley of Amfax commented, "The busy Southern Manufacturing event this year allowed us to show visitors the performance advantages that the a3Di PCBA metrology system offers to businesses needing to improve the performance of their PCBA inspection facilities. We had a number of companies deciding to trial their PCBA boards on the machine at their facilities over the coming months"

Amfax will be exhibiting at the Southern Manufacturing exhibition. Southern Manufacturing is a 3 day exhibition that takes place the 6th – 8th February 2018 at FIVE, Farnborough. It is the UK’s largest regional manufacturing technology, electronics and subcontracting exhibition.
