Why CE Marking is required for your test solutions
Almost all of the systems we design and build are covered by at least one of the directives of the CE Marking requirements. It is also a requirement of the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER) that when new work equipment is put into service that it is safe to use; this in turn is achieved by CE Marking.
By successfully CE Marking the equipment, you are declaring that the appropriate directives have been met. Failure to CE mark a product or falsely claiming a product is CE marked can result in a maximum of 3 month jail sentence and a £5000 fine.
What Amfax can do for you
If the CE Marking requirements are not addressed at the design stage then there is no guarantee the finished system will conform to the relevant directives. Testing the system for compliance after it has been designed and built can result in escalating delays and costs if modifications are required.
The design engineers at Amfax have a thorough understanding of what is required in order to meet the requirements for CE Marking, so Amfax is able to offer equipment that will be fit for purpose by design. This design based approach is by far the most effective solution in terms of conformity, cost and on time delivery. But if you are in the situation where you need to CE Mark existing equipment Amfax can also provide expert advice on how this can be achieved in the most cost effective way possible.
CE Marking compliance is proven by supplying the Declaration of Conformity (DoC) to document which directives have been met. The DoC is supported by the Technical Construction File (TCF) which documents the evidence for compliance.
When successful product testing matters, Amfax delivers high performance, fully supported test engineering solutions designed and built to your exacting specifications on time and to budget
