Amfax was founded in 1986 as a supplier of electronics and software to the MOD for trial support.
After 5 years, the time was right for expansion into a more commercial marketplace providing hardware and software to telecommunications and automotive clients as well as existing military clients.
In 1994 Amfax became a strategic partner of National Instruments, seeing great opportunity for the implementation of the techniques and technologies used by NI to further develop the range of services offered by Amfax.
The partnership with NI continued to grow and in 2001 Amfax became a select alliance partner, the first
of such partners in the UK.
The company continued to expand experience in photonics, robotics, vision, RF and aerospace, increasing
qualified and trained engineering and manufacturing staff, as well as of course our portfolio of successful projects.
